Our local American Legion received a grant from the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation in the amount of $2396.00 for new rock in the parking area behind the American Legion building. This addition looks wonderful and provides a much cleaner parking area for the American Legion Post #83. The City of Hedrick was proud to sponsor the American Legion Post #83 and glad they received this financial help to improve their building. If you are interested in learning more or supporting the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation, please visit the website at www.kcendow.org.
The City of Hedrick received a $5000 grant from the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation (KCCEF). Along with $5000 donations from the City of Hedrick and the Hedrick Ball Board each, new dugouts were built for the North Ball Diamond. If you haven't seen them yet, drive by and check them out. We are very proud of all the work and time our volunteers and employees put in to make this project a reality. We would also like to thank the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation for their support. You can learn more about KCCEF at www.kcendow.org.
The City of Hedrick has received a $1,000 grant from the Iowa Communities Assurance Pool (ICAP), the member's property and/or casualty coverage provider.
We have added a page under Government that contains documents and information regarding the current City of Hedrick Water Tower Project. We will do our best to provide you with any information we can.
The City of Hedrick is asking residents to please not dump cooking grease in your sinks. Please place in a disposable container and place in your garbage. Recently there was an incident where our city sewer system was clogged and backing up due to a build up of grease. This can cause undue expense to the City and to residents. The City thanks you for your help in resolving this issue.
